Care and follow-up for small churches

Nobody slips through the cracks.

The easiest way for a small church to make sure every person gets a call back. When someone signs up, the right leader hears about it, gets a reminder if needed, and you can see it was done. Nothing to build. From $15 a month.

The problem

“Someone filled out the card. Someone said ‘I’d love to help.’ And then… nobody called.”

It’s rarely that nobody cares. It’s that nobody knew it was theirs to do.

The spreadsheet

Names go in. Nobody can tell who called whom, or who’s still waiting three weeks later.

The group text

“Can someone reach out to Sam?” Five people see it. Everyone assumes someone else did.

Memory

You meant to follow up after Sunday. Then Monday happened.

What sets us apart

Follow-up comes ready. You don’t build it.

Most church software hands you the parts and leaves the follow-up for you to put together. In Shepherds Inbox it’s already built, so a church with no office staff can be ready by lunch.

A weekend project 8 things to build, and someone to keep them working

Without Shepherds Inbox This is what a church usually has to build and keep running itself.

  1. Build a signup form
  2. Make a notification list
  3. Design a follow-up workflow
  4. Assign each step to someone
  5. Set up permissions
  6. Connect an automation
  7. Write the welcome email
  8. Check everyone’s access
  1. Step 1About 8 minutes

    Answer a few questions

Your ministries, who leads each one, and what to ask on your form.

    Off your list
    • Build a signup form
    • Design a follow-up workflow
    • Assign each step to someone
  2. Step 2About 1 minute

    Share your link

Put it in the bulletin, on a slide, or on your website. A QR code is ready too.

    Off your list
    • Make a notification list
    • Write the welcome email
  3. Step 3Nothing to do

Follow-ups land with the right person

Each sign-up goes to its leader’s Follow-ups, with reminders, and Admins see anything overdue.

    Off your list
    • Set up permissions
    • Connect an automation
    • Check everyone’s access

Shepherds Inbox does all 8 for you. See how it works instead.

Step 1 is a guided setup in 5 short steps: ministries, leaders, your form, reminders, then share. Reminder days are yours to choose.

How it works

A week with Shepherds Inbox

One person, one leader, and nobody having to remember.

  1. Sunday 11:40

    Priya signs up to sing

After church she fills in your form on her phone: “I sang alto at my last church.”

  2. Sunday 11:41

    It lands with Dave

Dave leads Worship. He gets an email or text, and Priya is on his Follow-ups with her note.

  3. Tuesday

    A gentle reminder

Busy week and no call yet? Dave gets a friendly nudge. Nobody has to remember to send it.

  4. Thursday

    Nobody forgotten

Still nothing? Your Admins see it, and can remind Dave or call Priya themselves.

Most weeks it ends on Sunday afternoon: Dave calls, taps “We talked”, and Priya is on the team.

About Guests
For everyone at your church

Each person sees what they need

Pastors and Admins

See who’s still waiting this week, church-wide, and nudge the right leader with one tap.

Ministry leaders

Open Follow-ups on your phone, call or text the person, and say how it went. Done in a minute.

Staff and volunteers who lead

See everyone in People, and act where you lead. Your Admins decide who can do what.

For small churches

Made for a church of 65, not 6,500.

Most churches in America have fewer than 100 people on a Sunday. Their software usually assumes someone’s job is running it. Ours doesn’t.

  • Guided setup: about 10 minutes, start to finish
  • No passwords: sign in with a link by email or text
  • Works on any phone, nothing to install
  • Nothing to update every week: it only asks for something when a person needs you
  • $15 a month up to 100 people, everything included

What we’re not

We don’t do giving, check-in, small groups, accounting or service planning. Keep the tools you already have for those, and use us for the part they don’t do well: making sure every person gets followed up.

Why a focused tool

Questions

Is Shepherds Inbox a full church management system?

No, and we say so on purpose. Shepherds Inbox is for care and follow-up: knowing who’s who and making sure every person hears back. We don’t do giving, check-in, accounting or service planning, so keep the tools you already have for those.

How much does it cost?

One price with everything included, based on how many people you track: up to 100 people $15, up to 300 $25, up to 750 $39, any size $59 a month. No per-user fees and no setup fees. See pricing.

Do I need a credit card to try it?

No. When we launch, your first 30 days are free and we won’t ask for a card to start.

Can I bring my people over from a spreadsheet or other church software?

Yes. Import a spreadsheet (CSV), including one exported from Planning Center or other church software. You can undo an import for 48 hours. There’s no live sync.

Do our leaders need to install an app or remember a password?

No. Shepherds Inbox works in any phone or computer browser, and people sign in with a link sent by email or text. There are no passwords to forget.

Be ready for the next person who raises a hand.
